B21 is an online store owned by an second year student, Kit Oprecio, that sells slippers, watches, and clothing for both men and women. Kit has a great sense of style and a passion for fashion. He wanted to create a place where people can find stylish and affordable items.

Kit started his online business in June 2023 without any initial capital because he knew the supplier personally. Whenever someone placed an order, he would contact the supplier to get the necessary items. He chose to sell products that people need and that don’t spoil quickly, unlike food. He preferred items that could be restocked. Currently, besides slippers and watches, he is also exploring selling dishwashing liquid and plans to sell other products like perfumes. His motivation comes from a desire to be financially independent and not rely on his parents for his needs.

Kit’s story is inspiring as it highlights his resourcefulness and determination to achieve financial independence. By choosing products that are essential and long-lasting, he ensures a steady demand and minimizes risks associated with perishable goods. His strategic approach and hard work are paving the way for a successful and sustainable business.

Jecee Closhop: Affordable Fashion

Jecee Closhop is another amazing venture by my friend Jecemell Bernardino. This online store focuses on selling women clothes at very affordable prices. It’s a great place for fashion lovers who want to find unique pieces without spending too much. 

Jecemell carefully selects clothes to ensure they are in great condition. This not only helps customers save money but also promotes sustainable fashion. By offering quality clothes at low prices, the store makes fashion accessible to everyone.

Jecemell always wanted to start a business but struggled to save money due to a small school allowance. She dreamed of running a real business and not relying on her father. One morning, she saw sale items from her supplier but didn’t have enough money. After seeing an encouraging quote on Facebook that said, ‘I know you’re probably scared of how things would turn out, but you got this,’ she decided to borrow money from her father and take the risk. Despite her fears and the challenges of balancing school, taking care of her mom, and managing household chores, she persevered and opened her shop in March 2024. Starting an online business was tough, but she didn’t give up. Now, she continues to sell and is grateful for her determination, which allows her to afford things she couldn’t before.
