The culture of violence embedded in fraternities and sororities is something I cannot accept nor understand. Their female counterparts are not free from brutality either. How can you allow someone to batter and humiliate you like that? I don’t understand how you can consider someone a brother or sister after they treat you like shit. And if you die in the process, you die in the hands of people who would have been your family had you survived. They would have paved the way to a great career. Too bad you weren't tough enough to withstand the requisite beating.
